Thanks Nourdine, I'll try it. I temporarily solved the problem by d/l'ing a trial version of 2013. Since what I need to check out is it's MVC web development model, 2013 actually reverts to 2012 when creating the original auto-generated solution structure. I have worked with Microsoft systems since the first 100 PCs came out of Boca. I've collaborated with them for a number of projects while consulting to everybody from Intel (Digital Video Interactive) - among other things, a partner and I wrote the Indeo media codec (that was standard in Windows from 3.0 through XP or possibly Vista).
I beta tested it's new O/S's from DOS 1.0.1 through (almost) Vista. With Dow Jones, I worked with extended MAPI before it was finished coding, and contributed to the team run by John Goodfriend(?) and coder Victor Romero, solving internal problems and figuring out how to make it do some of it's more exotic functions. One pass with Vista was enough to chase me back to XP SP 3 (I have one machine that has been.running XP since it first came out 24/7/365 and the only times it has had to be rebooted were adding new h/w, drivers, or s/w updates.
Download microsoft visual studio 2012 professional here: My Profil: -Facebook: -Twitter. Jun 1, 2013 - Use Measurement Studio C++ MFC 11 Legacy Support to update. Never a crash or bluescreen of death. One look at Vista and I stopped beta testing for them.
I was also a consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services for several years, based at their 48th St. Office in Manhattan and (IIRC) Building 25 in Redmond. I operated at client sites, particularly Merrill Lynch. I also was the programmer who found the bug that was holding up the sale of Lifeboat's Lattice 3.g C Compiler to Microsoft. It was a bug that caused an 8-bit byte shift right to shift a full 16-bit word. After it was fixed MS bought the fixed version, Lattice 3.h. I have also written modifications to the Windows Media Player 8 while working with a digital video company.
Some of that code is still in Windows. Through all that collaboration with MS, - and much more - you'd think I'd be able to find a trial version of VS 2012 that it wouldn't forbid me to d/l (it does let me d/l trial versions of all 2013, 2015, and 2017 flavors, ironically). Say's more than I want to say, good or otherwise about almost 4 decades of working with Microsoft. Among the best programmers in the world, mixed with marketing that forces release of new products before they are ready to 'hold a window' and spread FUD. Maybe, it's why, over the recent years, I've been solicited for more contracts involving Java on Linux than.NET on Windows. Though, truth to tell, both Java & C# started out as elegant, though overly abstracted and protected languages, and both have now bloated out to worse than PL/1 and ADA, which at least we all knew were bloated from the beginning.
I see it now with C 2011, so I might go back to assembler;). I'll give you an upcheck when I have time to explore your solution. Right now, I'm doing a quick MVC project in 2013/2012. Sorry I don't use social media under anything that identifies me to communicate, but one top secret project for DHS disabused me of that. BTW, internally, DHS warns programmers NOT to use Java 7, Java 8, or PHP even for home hobby projects. Hi BlueSun03, Welcome to the MSDN forum and thank you for your confirmation.

From the very first versions of Windows, Microsoft created an integrated development environment (IDE) so that programmers could complete their projects for these operating systems. We are talking about Visual Studio. With the imminent launch of Windows 8, they have decided to launch a new version: Visual Studio 2012. The best development environment for Windows 8. Developed with Windows 8 in mind, Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate includes many of the elements that will appear for the first time in Microsoft's new operating system like.NET Framework 4.5 or the Metro interface. Design whatever you want Visual Studio 2012 includes all the tools necessary to be able to create all kinds of projects for Microsoft operating systems, but furthermore, it's also perfectly capable of creating websites or, even, programs for mobiles and tablets. Thanks to the elements that are part of Visual Studio 2012 any programmer will have the possibility to complete a full project without any need to resort to other programs or external elements.
Some of the features of the new version of Microsoft Visual Studio are:. Detects cloned code. Automatically shows IntelliSense, it will no longer be necessary to call forth the tool.
Complete compatibility with Windows Azure. Unique IDE with total compatibility to create applications for Windows 8. Use of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript for websites.
Full implementation of ASP.NET. The graphical environment of Visual Studio 2012 has undergone a change, being very similar to the Metro graphical interface and the general product line that Microsoft had already marked after launching Microsoft Office 2013 Preview, even though it does maintain the code color identification which so many users demanded after they had originally left it out of the Beta version of the program (called Visual Studio 2011 Beta).
